Wellington Gay Welfare Group Inc - Gay Switchboard Te Whare Atawhai - was commended in the Health and well-being category in the annual TrustPower Wellington City Community Awards. The awards aim to recognise the efforts and achievements of voluntary organisations who devote hours of time and energy every year in making the city a better place to live. Wellington Mayor Kerry Prendergast views the awards as a great opportunity to acknowledge the work of some groups not normally rewarded. Gayline Wellington
