Queer consultation committee to be formed in Auckland,

Following the local government elections the formation of an Auckland les/bi/gay/trans committee to liase with the council is been actively discussed by several of the unsuccessful lesbian and gay candidates.

During the local government election campaign Les Mills, the successful Mayoral candidate, was reported in an interview with Express, as saying 'I am supportive of setting up a gay and lesbian advisory group to work with Council'.
