CHP will monitor Express Report - 11-Feb-1996
The Christian Heritage leader, the Rev Graham Capill, is vowing to monitor Express Report, New Zealand's first gay and lesbian programme, for breaches of the broadcasting code.
They agreed that the premiere on Monday night had conformed to the standards set out in the Broadcasting Act.
However they would complain that the programme did not uphold the impartiality required of television broadcasting. They also called on people to write to their local Horizon station to complain about the broadcasting of Express Report.
Rev Capill, complained that no regular news report for heterosexual couples nor a Christian news bulletin would even be considered by television.
