Direct from sell-out performances at this year’s New Zealand Fringe Festival, The Cottage are Kate Fitzroy and Cooper Amai who take a fresh and fabulous look at the stereotypes and misconceptions around queer culture. The term “cottaging” refers to the act of “scoring someone in the loo”.
Wickedly funny and outrageously un-PC, The Cottage is set to attack and embrace ‘gay’ labelling, bringing character extremes of queer culture to life on stage, from the dizziest blonde twink to the cruelest dyke.
Back by popular demand and fresh from judging Mr Gay Auckland is infamous Krd personality Miss Ribena, who will be in full flight flirting her stuff, revving up the crowds and being her effervescent self on the night.
The Out Takes 2006: A Reel Queer Film Festival runs 25 May - 5 June (Auckland); 1 - 11 June (Wellington) and 8 - 14 June (Christchurch).
