The CTU Out @ Work network was set up in 2000 as the Council of Trade Union's network for lesbian, gay, takataapui, bisexual, intersex, transgender and fa'afafine union members.
At the conclusion of this one-day course, participants will be able to:
Understand the rights of LGBTI workers and know how these rights have been developed and advanced. Â
Understand unions' role and structures in supporting LGBTI workers.
Identify the tools that are available for advancing LGBTI rights, human rights and employment rights.
Discuss good practices in workplaces for supporting LGBTI rights.
Develop a plan and discuss how to build and support LGBTI, rights in workplaces and communities.
Undertake a campaigning task.
